Maple Bacon-Onion Jam
During a visit to the Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina, I "experienced" Maple Bacon-Onion Jam on a burger at their Bistro. They offered me the recipe, but I forgot to ask again when I left. This is my best interpretation of what I had there. I must say, 'I am not disappointed.'Prep & Cook Video: https://www.facebook.com/547753118621621/videos/657504575011155/

Onion Bacon Jam
Delicious Onion Bacon Jam is one of my favorite ways to enhance a burger, top off a steak, pork chop and chicken. Eat it with cream cheese and crackers or a crusty piece of bread.I quadrupled it for canning.

Maple Bacon Blondies
Usually, if it’s not chocolate, I don’t spend much time on it. However, in the interest of my not-chocolate-loving kiddo and National Blondie Day, I made an exception. Maple Bacon Blondies are pretty great, lack of chocolate and all. You can certainly leave out the bacon or the walnuts and simply have maple blondies. That would be pretty fine, too.

Nan's Onion Jam
This easy, tasty condiment is very versatile. I love it as the top smear on meatloaf (instead of ketchup). Great on all types of meat. Leave the ketchup off your hamburger and use this instead. It's even good cold from the fridge spread with cream cheese on crackers!

Smokey Maple-Bacon Baked Beans
Came up with this recipe years ago for a 4th of July cookout. We lived in Germany and everyone in our building stairwell was going to be there - no TDYs or vacations. We had a blast: grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone brought a covered dish and desert. We had a HUGE water gun fight that started with the kids and ended with the adults sporting hoses with power nozzles. We were labelled the 'fun stairwell' and wound up coordinating some epic yard parties. Just found the slip of paper I wrote this recipe on and decided to make this as a side for our hot dog night. I added some smoked paprika to give it a smokey kick. Hubby 'Mmm' with each spoonful, so it's a keeper! The recipe can be halved, doubled or tripled - just be sure to have a large enough bean pot or casserole to hold the amount you're making.
