My Stuffed Cabbage Rolls are hearty and tasty, filled with rice, seasoned ground meat and baked in a delicious tomato based sauce.

Ingredients

  1. 1 headregular cabbage
  2. 1lemon
  3. 1 cupbrown rice or white (I use Minute Rice)
  4. 1 lbground turkey or beef
  5. 1medium white or yellow onion
  6. 4garlic cloves (minced)
  7. 1 (14 oz)can diced tomatoes
  8. 1large egg
  9. Seasonings
  10. 1/4 tspground cloves
  11. 1 tspground cinnamon
  12. 1/2 tspground nutmeg
  13. 1 tspbasil
  14. 1/2 tspdried dill weed
  15. 1/2 tspdried Parsley
  16. 2 1/2 tbspworcestershire sauce (1½ tbsp for tomato juice)
  17. 3 canstomato sauce
  18. 1 cantomato soup

Cooking Instructions

    In large pot boil cabbage. Add lemon. Let boil until leaves are soft enough to fold.

    Pre heat oven to 375 degrees or cook in Crock Pot on high for 8 hours.

    In rice cooker start your 2 cups of rice.

    In large bowl add ground turkey or beef and break up with wooden spoon or your hands and add your rice, white onion, egg, garlic, tomatoes, worcestershire sauce and seasonings.

    Add meat filling to cabbage. Roll em up real tight. In Crock Pot, add the cans of tomato sauce then add tomato soup and worcestershire sauce and place cabbage rolls on top and put remaining cabbage that you're not using on top of cabbage rolls.

    Top cabbage rolls with remaining meat and parmesan cheese and place in oven for 45 minutes or Crock Pot on High for 8 hours.
