Boil the Shirataki rice, carrot and sausage in the water. Salt and black pepper is added when the congee is boiling, reduced and popping about. You can put spring onion if you like.

Easy Chicken Meatball Congee
A comforting one bowl dish cooked in the rice cooker. Chop all vegetables to equal pieces for even cooking. You can add any veggies you like. I did not cook the chinese seaweed, instead I lay it at the bottom of the containers/bowls. You can also cook it together with the congee.


Savoury Pumpkin Oatmeal Congee
Super easy breakfast that you can make in less than 10mins. I had leftover pumpkins from our weekend lunch and just needed to mash them in with the oatmeal. You can use roasted pumpkins or microwave them (like I did) for 8 mins on medium (700W).
