Vanilla Sponge Cake
The recipe from 'Gretchens Bakery' (www.gretchensbakery.com). I use half portion of her recipe. It is simple and you can always add icing cream or filling to make it more festive. Happy baking!

Classic Vanilla Sponge Cake
This is the most basic sponge cake, but it tastes so moist and fluffy. For healthy reason, I replaced the butter with vegetable oil, the topping cream is whipped cream not butter cream. This could be the most healthy cream sponge cake ever, but not vegan.

Eggless sponge cake
Main thing in bakery, as well as in this receipe is the SUGAR BATTER METHOD or FLOUR BATTER METHOD. Sugar batter method is the one in which we firstly mix together the sugar & fat i.e butter or any other fat medium and flour batter method is vice versa.

Sponge cake
I used a 15cm cake tin to make this recipe.I like this one because it's easy, before I always failed when I tried to make sponge cake using other recipes.

How to Make the Perfect Sponge Cake with Step-by-Step Photos
After many trials I have learned some key points. I recommend this recipe to my friends. This is a perfect recipe I am proud of.The most important key is to make the mixture voluminous with air before adding the flour. I have never failed to make nice sponge by doing this, so this is important. After adding the flour try not to damage the airy mixture. Fold in carefully and quickly. After butter mixture is combined evenly stop folding in! For 15 cm [5.9 in] round cake mold or make 1.5 times with 18-cm mold. Recipe by Kayukko

12 Layer Vanilla Sponge Cake
This is a beautiful cake and looks complicated but it is really very easy. It's a straight forward vanilla sponge cake portioned out in thin layers in 12 pans. I just used foil pans . The whipped chocolate filling and chocolate glaze are also quick and simple. Best of all this cake is so delicious and always a surprise when you make the first cut to reveal all the layers!

Sponge Cake
This sponge cake is leavened only by the eggs, with no baking powder or other leavening agent. Here I topped it with almond slices, but the possibilities are endless. It's the easiest/most basic sponge cake so feel free to top it with anything you have available. 👩🍳

A Sponge Cake with Pancake Mix
I didn't have any flour, but I wanted to make a cake. I made this sponge cake a little bit healthier ingredients for my children. For 15~18 cm [7.1 in] round baking pan. Recipe by aiai1020

Milky Castella-Style Sponge Cake in the Microwave
I was selected to try out a brand of baking paper and so decided to use it to make a snack. The baking paper I used helped me slide the sponge easily off. Please adjust the cooking time based on your type of microwave and the wattage. (If the cake looks like it is cooking through a bit fast, you can reduce the time). If you increase the cooking time by just a bit, the bottom of the cake will go a bit crispy. I kind of like that so I make the top 2/3 fluffy and the bottom 1/3 crispy. This is a castella-style sponge, not a castella sponge itself. Recipe by ne-ne

I wanted to make a fluffy sponge cake...Make a firm meringue and always sift the flour. Recipe by Nori x nori

Moist and Fluffy Matcha Sponge Cake
I made this matcha sponge cake to make a matcha dome cake.If the warm water to warm the milk and butter cools down, make sure to bring it back to approximately 60℃. You shouldn't mix too much at step 10, but if you don't mix it just right, the butter will sink. You could use regular letter paper instead of parchment paper. For 18 cm [7.1 in] cake pan. Recipe by Rearea cheese

Fluffy and Moist Chocolate Sponge Cake
I arranged my fluffy and soft plain sponge cake to make this chocolate sponge. I added honey and starch syrup, and adjusted the amount of fat so as to make a fluffy and moist, but not dry sponge cake. You have to beat the eggs well, but do not beat too much. After that, the texture must be made fine with a hand mixer at a lower-speed. Fold in the mixture using a spatula with a cutting motion and rotate your bowl against the direction of the spatula. Do not over-mix but make sure the cocoa liquid is combined evenly. After mixing, the volume of the batter may drop, but do not worry. When it bakes, it will rise. Recipe by Lesser Panda

Castella Sponge Cake
I realized that I could make castella with bread flour, so I worked out the amount and ingredients, and now this is my favorite recipe. The photo shows a matcha (green tea) castella.I used an empty tea box, so I used it as packaging for the castella when I presented it as a gift. For matcha castella, use 100g sugar and 25g sweet green tea. For 2 milk carton molds' worth. Recipe by sanzou

Sponge Cake
I confess that I was really inspired by a book called "A Book That Answers your Why? Questions About Making Sweets" by Kazuyoshi Aihara. I highly recommend you read the book for further details.I reduced the calories of the recipe listed in the book as much as possible. There are 4 important key points; if you do these properly, then you can make a beautiful sponge cake. If you use the same ingredients in the exact same order, then this is the key to not failing in mixing it. If you remember this, then there is nothing to fear. *When beating the eggs, please add in vanilla essence if you like. Recipe by Osshosan

Butterless Sponge Cake
every time i make it turns out perfect

Soft and Fluffy Sponge Cake
I bake this every year for Christmas and birthdays, but a 18 cm pan wasn't big enough, so I tried baking in a 21 cm pan.I wrote in Step 5 how to mix in the butter and milk into the batter, but if you've followed the recipe exactly, you can add it directly to Step 4. However, there's a high possibility that the batter would sink, so it's best to keep the two steps separate. Recipe by ko-ko

Fluffy Basic Sponge Cake
I modified another recipe of mine to make this cake. After pouring the batter into the pan in Step 3, drop the pan at a height to release the air bubbles. The baking time will differ according to your oven.Make sure the parchment paper is higher than the sides of the pan. Recipe by bvivid
