Udon Noodles With Meat In Only 3 Minutes

A recipe that was born when I couldn't decide between a well balanced dish, a timesaver dish, and a delicious lunch dish...this recipe is all 3! The burdock root and garlic shoots have great texture! This dish really fills you up.

If you don't have any natto sauce, substitute 2 teaspoons of konbu seaweed based mentsuyu (noodle sauce concentrate). Do steps 1 and 2 simultaneously to save time. Recipe by Kanon mama ('-'*)

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1pack Sanuki udon noodles, frozen
  2. 1 bunchBurdock root, finely shaved
  3. 1 bunchGarlic shoots
  4. 80 gramsBeef shoulder offcuts (thinly sliced)
  5. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  6. 1pack Natto sauce (the sauce that comes with a pack of natto)
  7. 1 tbspeach Yakiniku sauce, white sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

    Moisten the frozen udon noodles and microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. You can boil the udon noodles instead of course.

    In the meantime, stir fry the beef in a frying pan. It will change color in about 2 minutes. Add the burdock root and garlic shoots and season with salt and pepper.

    Around the time the meat and vegetables are done, the microwaved noodles will be done too. Add the sauce that comes with a pack of natto and mix.

    Pile the meat and vegetables on top of the udon noodles, add some yakiniku sauce and sesame seeds, and it's done.
