A recipe that I was taught by a British gentlemen.
These cute and crusty pies are really easy to make, so you won't need to worry about any unexpected visits by a friend.

Please refer toto make the pie crust dough.
If you add too much jam, it will run out when baked and burn!
I used fairly large cookie cutters. Recipe by Fushicche

Ingredients

  1. Pie crust:
  2. 150 gramsPlain white flour
  3. 75 gramsMargarine
  4. 2 tbspWater
  5. For the filling:
  6. 1Jam (any kind you like)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Combine the flour and butter. Knead with your hands until flaky. Add water in small batches and continue to knead until as soft as your earlobes. Gather into a single clump and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes (please refer to Helpful Hints).

  2. 2

Take the batter out of the fridge. On a powdered workplace and a powdered rolling pin, roll out the batter until about 2mm thick. Cut into desired shapes.

  3. 3

Place a small amount of jam in the middle of the cut pie crust dough. A half of the crust will be used to sandwich, so don't put any jam on them.

  4. 4

Cover the dough with jam with the clean dough to make a sandwich. Close the ends with a fork and also poke some holes in the middle.

  5. 5

Line an oven dish with some parchment paper. Align the pies and bake in 180℃ oven for 10 minutes to finish!

  6. 6

You could also press in the pie crusts into muffin tins and fill with jam to bake.
