I used the pie crust recipe that I always make for these apple pies.

・These are moderately sweet. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.
・ Don't put in too much filling! It will leak while baking.
・ In Step 2, don't over knead the dough! If you mix too much, it will harden and will be difficult to roll out thinly. Recipe by Fushicche

Ingredients

15 servings
  1. Pie Crust:
  2. 150 gramsPlain white flour
  3. 75 gramsButter or margarine
  4. 2 tbspWater
  5. Apple Filling:
  6. 1Apples (Jonathans, if available)
  7. 20 gramsSugar
  8. 2 tbspWater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

★Make the pie crust: Add the flour and butter to a bowl. Mix together with your fingers until crumbly.

  2. 2

Once the mixture has become crumbly, pour water and bring it all together. Wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  3. 3

★ Make the Filling: Thinly slice the apples. Combine the apples, sugar, and water into a saucepan and boil on low heat until soft.

  4. 4

Take out the pie crust, roll it out thinly, and cut out the shapes.

  5. 5

Spoon the filling on a cut out circle, lay another on top and press down the edges along with a fork. Poke a hole in the center with the fork.

  6. 6

Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and put on the pie crusts. Bake for 10 minutes in a 210ºC preheated oven, cool on a rack, and they're done!

  7. 7

Leftover Pie Crusts: It's cute if you fill them with jam and make jam pie.
