California Farm Garam Masala
Our farm recipe missed half the ingredients that cookpad member Renukabala listed in her recent recipe, and hers tastes much better. I did substitute black stone flower with more cumin, although the original spice is available on amazon. I am allergic to lichen. Here is our new updated improved version. Thank you Renukabala.

Garam Masala
For centuries, the world has been fascinated by Indian spices, which make food delicious and aromatic. These spices have been an essential part of our cuisine. There's something special about homemade spices; the aroma and taste of spices ground on a traditional stone grinder can't be matched by store-bought ones. In today's world, working women often don't have the time to grind spices daily. If you want to add a spicy kick to your food, I'm sharing a homemade garam masala recipe that will enhance every dish.

Chinese Chilli Oil
There isn't much to weigh here as you can control your own spiciness with the fresh chilli and Chinese peppercorn. After you finish chopping the garlic etc, gauge the amount oil needed to be boiled. You will need enough to fully submerge the chillies. Season with salt

Garam Masala - Indian spicemix
Garam masala is a delicious warm tasting spicemix from India, there are a few recipes I love to make that require this and although you can probably also find a ready-made-mix in a shop when in a hurry... a fresh homemade mix is definitely much more rich in flavour and taste. You will need a old coffee bean grinder or something similar if you use whole ingredients. If you need more, just use a bigger spoon and keep it in a closed (glass) container to keep it fresh

New Year's Dish - Braised Pig Trotters for Good Luck
Pig trotters are a must-have in New Year's dishes. Generally, the front legs have more meat, while the hind legs are smaller, so pay attention when buying pig trotters. They symbolize getting rid of bad luck. When serving New Year's dishes, don't forget to include these flavorful braised pig trotters to enhance your good fortune. The key is to use a Tatung electric cooker to help, leaving the gas stove for other dishes.

Mutton Dum Biryani
Biryani can be made in many styles. This is one way of cooking Biryani. You can also use chicken or beef. Be careful & patient while you make a Biryani. It is kind of a long process. This is not a healthy recipe. However, you can try to use less oil or ghee during the preparation, also change the quantity of spices according to your taste buds & avoid pineapple if you don't like it. Mix & serve.
