Ingredients

  1. 150 gramsChickpea
  2. 2Tomatoes
  3. 2 piecesCoconut
  4. 2Brinjals
  5. 6Dried chillies
  6. 1 spoonCoriander seeds
  7. 1 spoonPepper
  8. 2 spoonsJeera
  9. 1 eachCinnamon, star anise, bay leaf
  10. As requiredOil
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. SomeCoriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Soak the chickpea 12 hrs before cooking. Now cook it until it becomes soft for 5 whistles.

    Take a handful of cooked chickpea and keep aside.

    Now in a pan add tomatoes, brinjal in a slices manner. By the side in a mixie jar grind coconut, red chillies, coriander seeds, pepper,Jeera,that hand full chickpea to a fine paste. Add salt

    Add the mixture into the pan, and cook for 2 whistles.

    In a separate bowl, add some oil and saute the cinnamon, star anise, bay leaf, urad dal, curry leaves. Pour this into that gravy.

    Serve hot.
