I love matar.Winter is the season for plenty of green vegetables.These vegetables are so refreshing .Peas can be cooked in many ways like nimona,matar pulao,gobhi matar etc.but the simplest and tastiest is this recipe.I have made it with green chilli,ginger, coriander leaves and dry mango powder.#ws1#

Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsMatar/ green peas -
  2. 11/2 tbsp Mustard oil
  3. 1/4 tbsp Hing
  4. 1 tbsp Salt
  5. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  6. 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  7. 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  8. 1/2 tbsp Cumin -
  9. 1 tbsp Dry mango powder -
  10. 1/2 tbsp Garam masala -
  11. 1Green chilli - chopped
  12. 1 tbsp Ginger - .grated
  13. 1 tbsp Coriander leaves-

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a karahi,add hing green chilli,ginger and cumin.Saute.Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt Add matar and sprinkle water.Cover and cook for 7-8 min.Check and see that matar has become soft.

    Cook for 2-3 min. Sprinkle.dry mango powder,garam masala and coriander leaves on it and serve.This side dish you can serve it with dal or puri.
