Show this very day I was tired of having to eat rice the normal way…I had fresh cabbage and carrots lying in the fridge so I thought why not try something new and boom my cabbage and carrots sauce came out pretty well and do you know another amazing thing is that it can also be eaten with yam or plantain

Ingredients

  1. 1cabbage
  2. Carrots
  3. Scotch bonnet pepper
  4. 2onions
  5. Vegetable oil
  6. Shredded meat or fish (optional)
  7. cubesSeasoning
  8. Salt
  9. Tomato

Cooking Instructions

    Shred your cabbage and carrots thinly and keep aside

  2. 2

    In a bowl at your scotch bonnet pepper and tomato with onions and wash thoroughly

  3. 3

    Transfer it into your blender

  4. 4

    And grind until in not so smooth texture is achieved

  5. 5

    Set your shredded meat aside

  6. 6

    Dice some onions and keep aside

  7. 7

    Get your saucepan ready for frying

  8. 8

    Set your saucepan on medium heat and add in your vegetable oil

  9. 9

    Add in your diced onions and stir making sure it doesn't get burnt but gives off a nice and appealing aroma

    Add in your tomatoes and scotch bonnet pepper mixture

    Let it fry for a bit

    Add in your shredded meat or fish

    Add in your vegetables and let it cook for a little bit

    But not so much so as to retain the nutrients of the vegetables

    Serve with rice or yam or plantain
