Bean, Cheese and Broccoli Salad

My husband's family grows a lot of cute beans in their fields. I wanted to think up delicious ways of putting those beans to good use.
Use canned kidney beans or kidney beans cooked in sugar, whichever you prefer. You might be surprised at the idea of using beans cooked in sugar in a salad, but the other day I saw a TV program that showed that sweet beans are used in things like okonomiyaki and fried yakisoba noodles in a certain region, and I thought that it sounded plausible and tried it out. I make my own sweet beans that aren't that sweet (60-70 g of sugar to 1 cup (200 ml) of beans) and use that in all kinds of recipes. For 2 to 4 servings. Recipe by caramel-cookie
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Divide the broccoli into small florets, boil and drain. Cut the cheese into 1 cm cubes. Drain the cooked kidney beans very well. Mix the mayonnaise and cream together to make the mayonnaise sauce.
- 2
Mix all the ingredients in Step 1 together, season with salt and pepper to taste, and add the mayonnaise sauce. (I recommend using lots of pepper.)
- 3
Put on a serving plate.

One of the 2 bean salads in my repertoire, and they're both delish! A creamy bean salad inherited from my mom and then this delight. I alternate between the two for holiday dinners. Had some yellow pear tomatoes from my garden, the last harvest for this season, and I came up with this to use them up. I used can green beans, I used what I had on hand.
