Sausage Bread with Basil

-I had a bunch of homemade dried basil and wiener sausages I bought on sale.
-Plain wiener sausage bread is delicious as-is, but I felt like jazzing it up a little.

-Adjust the amount of dried basil to taste. If you love basil, go ahead and increase the amount.
-It's important not to hesitate when making cuts into the dough in Step 6! As I mention in Step 4, be sure to dust the dough if it's difficult to handle.
-Moisture could condense on the sausages after taking them out of the refrigerator and bringing to room temperature. Wipe off any moisture before using them. For 6 rolls. Recipe by putimiko

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1use 150 grams of flour for the bread dough Refer to the basic dough
  2. 6Wiener sausages
  3. 1-1 1/2 teaspoons Dried basil leaves
  4. 1Black pepper, parmesan cheese, melting type cheese, etc.

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Make the dough referring to. Add the dried basil leaves at the same time as the butter.

  2. 2

After the first rising, remove the dough and divide into 6 equal portions. Shape them into balls, cover with a damp kitchen towel, and let rest for 15 minutes.

  3. 3

Flatten out the dough with a rolling pin (to about 10-12 cm wide, adjust depending on the size of the sausage used).

  4. 4

Lay the sausage on top, roll the dough up from the bottom, and pinch the ends tightly. Roll the dough gently to secure the shape. If the dough is difficult to handle, dust with a small amount of flour.

  5. 5

Shape all 6 portions of dough in the same way.

  6. 6

Wet the tips of the blades of the kitchen scissors, and make cuts diagonally into the dough (while laying the scissors flat).

  7. 7

Shift and fan out each section, and leave the dough to rise again, until almost double in size (for the 2nd rising, let it rise at 38-40°C).

  8. 8

Keep an eye on the dough while it rises and preheat the oven to 220°C. Once it has finished rising, spray with water, and sprinkle on parmesan cheese and black pepper.

  9. 9

Reduce the oven temperature to 200°C, bake for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C, and bake for another 5-6 minutes. Adjust the baking time to your preference. If the bread is not cooking evenly, turn the pan around midway.

  10. 10

These are curry flavored sausage breads.

  11. 11

This time, I used regular sized wiener sausages, but they're also cute using long sized ones too.
