This is a recipe for cold winter days for my married older brother and his wife who are busy with work and child rearing. This warm stew is nutritious, prevents colds, and has plenty of carrots.If you really sear the meat well at first before adding the wine, it ends up delicious. I usually add mushrooms and potatoes when I make it, but when I make it to freeze I leave out the potatoes. When adding potatoes, add them in during Step 5 as you add the can of demi-glace sauce. After getting a big batch of Kale and searching other recipes I came up with this.

based on a rachel ray recipe, this is a quick and hearty stew that can even freeze well. i recommend making the beans from dried but canned works too. for more flavor i suggest roasting the carrots and garlic.this stew is great with bread, i like hot crusty bread :)

I kinda just made up while working. I wanted to make something thing for my client that did not have chicke. So I found chuncked pork stew meat and made up the recipie with what they had.

I learned to make vegetable soup while working at a local restaurant in my hometown in south east louisiana. I changed the recipe to my liking. It's a hit with everyone who tries it. Perfect for a cold day. Sometimes I use fresh corn and green beans but it's easier to do it this way.

This soup is so good on a chilly day! When I was little, I used to spend weekends with this woman I consider my mom, I would beg her to make this everytime. We'd stay up late watching scary movies and snacking on this stew :)

It’s funny... I made some chili last week. As I was thinking in my head, “What the hell goes in chili”? I started saying, “Wait, no. This is sounding like a beef stew”. So... I decided to make a beef stew now. It’s cold now and these dishes warm the soul. I never appreciated beef stew when I was younger. But I realize how fine of a dish it is in my older age haha.

This recipe grew out of my want for something like chicken and dumplings without the all day affair that represents. My family loves this meal, I make it in a 5qt Dutch oven, and the stew is gone before bedtime.

Decided dinner was going to be whatever I cooked in the crockpot tonite, so I rummaged around the pantry and fridge. This is the first time I ever added diced tomato or kidney beans to a beef stew. WOW! I surprised myself with how well it came out and tasted.
