Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 2 piecesfresh cod
  2. Salt and pepper, to taste
  3. as neededPotato starch or all-purpose flour,
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoonsbutter (20g)
  5. 1 teaspoonsoy sauce
  6. 1/4lemon (cut into wedges)
  7. Black pepper, to taste
  8. Optional
  9. 1 bunchspinach or komatsuna (cut into 1-inch pieces)

Cooking Instructions

    The photo shows 5 pieces.

    Season both sides of the cod with salt and pepper, then lightly coat with potato starch or flour.

    Melt the butter in a heated pan, then cook the cod over low to medium heat, starting with the skin side down, until golden brown. Avoid touching it too much to prevent breaking.
