Ingredients

8 Servings
  1. 1Medium head of cabbage, core removed and shredded
  2. 2 lbsground beef
  3. 2Medium onion, chopped
  4. 2Table spoons chili powder
  5. 2Table spoons garlic powder
  6. 2Table spoons kosher salt
  7. 1Table spoon freshly cracked black pepper
  8. 2/3 cupuncooked rice
  9. 24 ouncescrushed tomatoes
  10. 15 ouncestomato sauce
  11. 2 tablespoonswhite wine vinegar
  12. 1/3 cuplight brown sugar
  13. 1/3 CupWorcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

  2. 2

Layer the cabbage in the bottom of a large baking dish (something the size of 2 9"x13" baking pans)

  3. 3

In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef for a few minutes then add the onions. Do not drain any juices from the pan - most of it will evaporate. Add the rice and all spices to the skillet with the meat

  4. 4

Mix together the tomatoes, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar and then pour over the meat and cabbage. Cover with foil and then bake for 90 minutes.

  5. 5

Uncover and let rest for 5-10 minutes prior to serving. Enjoy!
