Ingredients

  1. Onion
  2. 1 smallred onion, thinly sliced
  3. 1 tbspsalted butter
  4. 1 tspground nut oil, (plus 4 more tablespoons for frying bread)
  5. lawry's seasoned salt
  6. Making
  7. 4slices of white bread
  8. 1 tbspof your favourite cheese (per slice)

    In a pan heat the butter and oil.

  2. 2

    Add the onions and salt and fry for 2-4 minutes until the onion has softened.

  3. 3

    Once fried set to one side until ready to use.

  4. 4

    Cut the crusts of the bread, then using a rolling pin, flatten the sliced bread as much as you can.

    Using the fat from the onions, brush the bread slices.

  6. 6

    Using your favourite cheese add to bread

  7. 7

    Then add the onions on tip of cheese

  8. 8

    Roll it carefully so it doesn't break. Use toothpicks to hold it all together. Then on the outside brush the oil from the onion.

    Add 4 tablespoons of oil to a frying pan and heat.

  10. 10

    Add the bread in and fry for about 3-5 minutes on low heat or until it is golden brown. Turn a few times.

    Once done remove from pan and place on kitchen roll to absorb some of the fat.

    Serve immediately.
