I searched high and low for a decent thumbprint recipe... some had milk, some had orange juice... I just wanted something basic. My first batch turned out too flat but after tweaking, this recipe turned out much better. Going to try making them next time with sugar instead of brown sugar to give it a more shortbread like taste.

I love the taste of these. I made a simple recipe, which highlights the buttery flavour.I recommend salted butter as it is richer than non-salted.They are tasty with just 3 ingredients, but feel free to add flavourings such as flavored oil, etc. For 30 cookies. Recipe by Jasumin

Quick, Simple, Delicious Breadcrumb Cookies
I unexpectedly had leftover breadcrumbs that I was unable to use up ;. These are cookies that I made through trial and error because it was too wasteful to throw out and I was trying to figure out what to do with it .It is low cost, and simple as well . You'll totally get hooked on the crunchiness. .Do the bread crumbs seem coarse? I just used cheap normal bread crumbs ;.You can mix as-is with an egg beater in Step 2, but it difficult to mix when doing it, so you can omit and do it in Step 3 instead.I thinly spread out the dough when baking . The baking time is approximate, so please adjust. Recipe by nokko.t

Shortbread Cookies
This is a variation of a cookie recipe I found in a homemade cookie book published by Boutique.Be sure to completely chill the dough until hardened (at least 1 hour, if not for longer) for a foolproof dough. You can add some dried fruits (apricots, orange peel, maraschino cherries, etc.) in Step 4. You can skip Step 6 if you don't feel like coating the cookies in sugar. Recipe by INCE

Easy Work Crunchy Cookie Cutter Cookies
It takes a bit of work, but I wanted to make cute cookies for Valentines Day or as a present using a cookie cutter and easy-to-handle dough. The dough will start to soften as you work with it. When that happens put it back in the refrigerator to tighten it up, which will make it easy to work with again. Recipe by Mimikku

Easy Shortbread Cookies
I revised a shortbread recipe, which I used to bake in a café in Canada. It's such an easy ratio of ingredients, so once you bake these cookies, you can make them without looking at the recipe. Feel free to adjust the amount of the ingredients as well. They can be made in 20 minutes!Once you have flipped the baking pan, keep an eye on the cookies so that they don't burn. Take the baking pan out of the oven when the cookies are light brown on the edges, and cook through with the residual heat. I recommend using butter for this recipe since they result in a richer and tastier cookie. Recipe by LazyHata

Orange Marmalade Thumbprints with Fresh Rosemary
A version of my recipe won first place in our local newspaper's Christmas Cookie Contest a few years back. It has an unusual combination of marmalade, rosemary and almond flavoring. I think it's a pretty amazing cookie recipe for Christmas (Or an afternoon tea any time!).
