Plain Cookies

I love the taste of these. I made a simple recipe, which highlights the buttery flavour.

I recommend salted butter as it is richer than non-salted.
They are tasty with just 3 ingredients, but feel free to add flavourings such as flavored oil, etc. For 30 cookies. Recipe by Jasumin

Ingredients

30 servings
  1. 170 gramsCake flour
  2. 60 gramsSugar
  3. 100 gramsSalted butter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Bring the butter to room temperature. When it has softened, add the sugar.

  2. 2

Mix with a whisk until it becomes white.

  3. 3

Add sifted flour in 2 batches and fold in briskly until it is no longer floury.

  4. 4

For icebox cookies, use plastic wrap to form the dough into squares and leave in the freezer for over 30 minutes to harden.

  5. 5

If you are using a cookie cutter, wrap the dough and leave it in the fridge for an hour so the flavours blend. Then, microwave it for 20 seconds and it will be easy to roll.

  6. 6

For icebox cookies, after Step 4, cut the dough into 4 mm slices and bake in a 355°F/180°C oven for 13-15 minutes.

  7. 7

Done! Shape them into any shape you prefer.
