I had found an orange creamsicle cookie recipe on All the Cooks that used a Betty crocker sugar cookie mix. I grew up making sugar cookies from scratch and using our antique cookie press. So I thought I'd revamp the original recipe I found and share it with my fellow food lovers!

Ingredients

  1. 3 stickbutter (salted or unsalted)
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 1 tbspvanilla extract
  5. 2egg yolks
  6. 3 3/4 cupsifted unbleached flour
  7. 2 cupwhite chocolate chips
  8. 1 3/4 tbspzest of naval oranges
  9. 2 cupmacadamia nut

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°f

    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add egg yolks, orange zest, & vanilla. Then; flower and salt, about 2/3 cup at a time.

    Add white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts.

  5. 5

    Using a balling ice cream scooper, scoop and plop dough on an un-greased sheet pan about 1.5 in. apart. You may also use parchment paper on your sheet pan.

    Bake for 7-10 minutes. Remove when the edges are lightly browned. For an even bake you may want to rotate the pan half way through baking.

    Transfer to wire rack and let cool. Enjoy!!
