Ingredients

1 hour 30 mins
  1. 3/4 cupshortening
  2. 2 cupflour
  3. 1 cupsugar
  4. 1/4 cupmolasses
  5. 1egg
  6. 2 tspbaking soda
  7. 1/2 tspground cloves
  8. 1/2 tspginger
  9. 1 tspcinnamon
  10. 1/2 tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

1 hour 30 mins

    Preheat oven to 375

  2. 2

    Melt shortening; let cool

  3. 3

    Mix all ingredients.

  4. 4

    Chill dough for at least 1 hour

  5. 5

    Form into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.

  6. 6

    Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
