Cooking Instructions
- 1
Remove the first few leaves from the head of cabbage, then rinse it off along with the potatoes. You may peel the potatoes if you like. Core and chop up the cabbage, then the potatoes.
- 2
Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. While the butter is melting prepare the cabbage, potatoes and ham to be put in the skillet.
- 3
After the butter is melted put the vegetables and ham in the skillet, stir them around to coat the ingredients with the butter and oil. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Stir every 5 minutes.
- 4
After it's all done, season to your liking with salt, pepper, and garlic. Enjoy! Please leave a review if you enjoyed.

Fried Cabbage With Ham Fried Cabbage With Ham
Bacon is traditionally used in this dish, but I rarely have it on hand. You can use ham steaks, leftover baked ham, or even lunch meat from the deli. This goes great with pork chops, corned beef, smoked sausage, etc. Don't be afraid of overfilling the pan, it will shrink down considerably as it cooks. Jake Grogan -

Fried Cabbage & Bacon Fried Cabbage & Bacon
A friend of mine, the same one who was talking about stuffed cabbage, was reminiscing about another thing his grandmother used to cook for him. I listened and said I could probably make it... so he bought some cabbage and bacon and I gave it a shot. He ate damn near all of it. I was happy to bring him down memory lane. Karl -
