Ingredients

20 mins
for 2 servings
  1. 1/2red onion finely chopped
  2. Small clove garlic, crushed
  3. 1/2lemon zested
  4. Handfulmixed mushrooms, roughly chopped
  5. Small bunch coriander or parsley
  6. 120 gfillet steak bashed to 1/2cm thick and cut in to strips
  7. 120 gstrips quorn or tofu w oxo cube flavour
  8. 1 tsppaprika
  9. Evoo, s&p
  10. Knobunsalted butter
  11. Brandy (good splash)
  12. 25 mlsour cream
  13. Green beans
  14. Potatoes for mash

Cooking Instructions

    Season meat w paprika, s&p, lemon zest.

    Put potatoes on to boil

  3. 3

    Fry onion w garlic til soft. Add mushrooms and butter, sauté until golden. Remove from pan.

    Steam greens

  5. 5

    Fry beef for two mins til brown but still pink inside, turning. Stir mushroom /onion mix back in, add brandy and reduce for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in cream and coriander.

I'm vegetarian & allergic to eggs, but my wife eats meat. I prepare all meals, often converting meat recipes in to vegetarian ones. Many of my recipes show measurements for both meat and vegetarian versions, often for the same meal... simply cooking a common sauce in one pan then using seperate pans for meat and veg to combine with sauce when served
