I searched high and low for a decent thumbprint recipe... some had milk, some had orange juice... I just wanted something basic. My first batch turned out too flat but after tweaking, this recipe turned out much better. Going to try making them next time with sugar instead of brown sugar to give it a more shortbread like taste.

I grew up with quite a few Italian bakeries around town. I've searched for ten years for a recipe. Found it on pinterest! Now I'm on a search for the colored ones with the sprinkles on them. I don't know what they're called though. : )

I wanted to make chocolate icing but most recipes use cocoa powder which I didn't have. So I tried it with a spare bar of chocolate I had sitting around. Turned out fluffy and delicious. The vanilla icing tastes like French vanilla ice cream. First attempts successful!

I love this frosting! I can do so many different things with it! from roses, to boarders and figures, today I mixed it with whipping cream and strawberries for a filling gvc.
