This soup is soooooooo delish that I had to learn how to prepare it..
It is very nutritious as it is mainly prepared with a generous quantity of water leaf and okazi.

Ingredients

  1. Okazi/afang leave
  2. Water leave
  3. Palm oil
  4. Beef or any other protein of your choice
  5. Pomo,dried fish,stock fish,pepper, onion
  6. Crayfish, seasoning cubes, salt
  7. Isam/periwinkle is optional

Cooking Instructions

    Wash,drain and slice water leave

  2. 2

    Grind/pound the okazi

  3. 3

    Boil the beef and Pomo with salt, seasoning cubes,diced Onion with a little quantity of water as water leaves contain water

  4. 4

    When meat is done,add dry fish and cook for another 5minutes

  5. 5

    Add Palm oil, crayfish and pepper and allow to boil

  6. 6

    When the mixture starts boiling,add the okazi,water leaves and periwinkle

  7. 7

    When the okazi leaves have softened and the water has dried up a bit,add salt to taste and allow to simmer for about 5minutes

  8. 8

    Serve with pounded yam,fufu semo etc
