Cooking Instructions

In a bowl, mix all ingredients into a soft sticky dough and cover to let it rise for an hour.

Then deflate and cut into 4, grease a pan and roll each dough and arrange in the pangl

Cover and let it rise for 30 more mins

Then boil water in a steamer and steam for 10-15mins. Cover the alkubus with a nylon

Serve with soup of Choice, i eat mine with Taushe soup

In my opinion there is no better bread for regular Sandwiches. Unless im making Sub sandwiches then I use my farmer's bread. This recipe is a bit involved but it is well worth it! Bill -

Note: This recipe is a work-in-progress. I adapted from a German recipe, but the dough seems to come out too soft and sometime the custard might not get thick enough according to another person who cooked :( I'll update this sometime soon [3/29/2016]This is a German pastry loved by all ;) The name means "Bee Sting" in German. Most German recipes use instant pudding, but in this recipe I've included how to make your own vanilla custard creme filling (you can double it if you love the super cream-filled kind!). You'll probably need a couple hours to make this so plan ahead. Felice
