A Summertime Simmered Dish: Atsuage & Cucumber Gelée A Summertime Simmered Dish: Atsuage & Cucumber Gelée
You can make this with winter melon, cucumber, or cantaloupe melon. I thought that since there is already a simmered winter melon dish, then why shouldn't cucumber be simmered too. So I tried it and it turned out delicious.Even if you don't add the atsuage and just use cucumber, it is still delicious. Top with the very well chilled gelee right before eating. It even tastes good if the kanten isn't completely hardened. Recipe by desertrose cookpad.japan -

Double Fruit Kanten Made with Orange Kanten Gelée Double Fruit Kanten Made with Orange Kanten Gelée
I made a kanten dessert to enjoy the citrusy sweetness of fresh orange juice. This is plenty delicious with just the natural sweetness of the juice, so I don't use sugar. (It separates a bit, but you can enjoy that as part of the sauce). You can quickly make this with canned fruit and honey soy milk, or you can make it really luxurious if you make it using only fresh fruit. For ~6 servings. Recipe by Mikki-an cookpad.japan -
