Beetroot dates and almond halwa

Ingredients

  1. 500 gbeetroot
  2. 250 gmsblack dates
  3. 6 tbspsugar
  4. 3/4 cupghee
  5. 1 ltrmilk
  6. 6 tbspalmond powder
  7. 4 tbspKaju powder
  8. 4 tbscoconut powder
  9. 2 tbskhas khas
  10. 1 tspelaichi powder
  11. 10-15kesar strands
  12. For garnishing
  13. 1 cupFresh cream
  14. as neededSoaked and peeled almond and pistachios

Cooking Instructions

    Grate beetroot. chop dates into small pieces and soak into milk for few minutes.

    Roast khas khas and mix with dates. Now grind both khas khas and dates and prepare fine paste.

    Heat ghee in non stick pan, add almond powder, pistachios powder, Kaju powder and roast it.

    Now add grated beetroot and cook at low flame for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Now add milk to it and cook till it turns thick now add dates and khas khas mixture and cook.

  6. 6

    When the halwa becomes non sticky, add elaichi powder and kesar strands to garnish.

  7. 7

    Now add sugar to it.
