  1. 4small beet roots
  2. 2 cupKhoa/ mava
  3. 3/4 cupsugar
  4. 1 tbspghee
  5. 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  7. Cashews and raisins for garnishing

    Wash, peel and grate the beet root. It should be approximately 4 cups

    Crumble the khoa.

    In a pan, add sugar and khoa. Mix and cook on a low flame till it solidifies. Heat ghee in a pan. Add grated beetroot. Cook till soft

    Heat ghee in a pan. Add grated beetroot. Cook till soft.
    Add milk and cook till the milk reduces and disappears.

    Add the khoa and sugar mixture to the beetroot. Also add cardamom powder. Mix and let it cook until it all comes together and can form a ball.

    Garnish with cashews, raisins. Enjoy this colorful sweet treat.
