Hotteok is a Korean pancake typically filled with gooey brown sugar syrup and nuts. It has a rather crispy exterior and nice chewy texture. Best served warm to get that syrupy melt in the mouth sensation.I added Matcha to create a green tea variation but you can certainly opt it out for the original version.This is my favorite pancake and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.

I always try to fix breakfast that doesn't take much time. When my 18 months old is starving, he doesn't look so cute anymore 😄. I love making this pancake because it's quick, easy and delicious. I have tried with many kind of fruit, such as apple, banana, pear and peach, either one is good. I usually serve the pancake with maple syrup, but you can always serve with whipped cream or dusting with powdered sugar.
