Cooking Instructions
- 1
The spoilt Milk or the Split Milk is first of all drained thoroughly through a sieve. After done keep aside. Meanwhile add Milk to a kadai or a pan. Cook it on a low to medium high flame by stirring at regular intervals. After about 10-12 minutes, when you see that it looks almost half the quantity, add the Split Milk and the Mango puree to it along with Sugar and Cardamom powder. Cook for a further 10-12 minutes on a high heat.
- 2
Keep stirring until it thickens. Add a teaspoon of Ghee and slivered Almonds as it changes to a lovely pink colour. It usually thickens in no time but even if it has not, no need to worry, as it thickens and solidifies once cooled. Grease a dish and remove the Kalakand onto it. Leave it for an hour or two either outside or refrigerate it well covered.
- 3
Cut into desired shapes and serve garnished with sliced Almonds. The lovely Yellowish hue is due to the Mango puree added to it. And since it's already Split Milk that is being used here, it gets done in almost half the time compared to the normal Kalakand that we make using Cottage Cheese and the reduced Milk. That's it.
- 4
Serve it chilled either as it is or cut into required shapes. Enjoy!

Eggless Mango Mousse Eggless Mango Mousse
How about celebrating the friday night with some chilled, rich and creamy mango dessert?? Definitely Yes! I ain't giving up on the mangoes yet. Therefore, today I made this Eggless Mango Mousse which is the best homemade dessert you can enjoy these summers.Mousse means foam in French which implies the airy texture this dessert should have. So yes, it's basic ingredients has to be either eggs or whip cream or both, to incorporate air into the mixture. I used whipped cream as the base which gives it a little rich flavour and somewhat heavier texture than the one made with eggs. To make it more creamy, I added my secret ingredient, hung curd and lastly my star ingredient, the MANGO!Boom! 💥You get the perfect sweet treat for your temptations. One thing to keep in mind is to whip the cream until soft peaks form. Don't wait untill it's stiff. Add Alphonso mangoes for the best taste and add sugar as per your preference. You can also choose the nuts and seeds you love.My family adored me for this dessert. Try it asap and lemme know if your family too loved it. ❤️#nonindian Vertika Tyagi -
Aamrakhand / Mango Shrikhand Aamrakhand / Mango Shrikhand
This is popular Maharashtrian sweet dish that is made in the summers during the mango season. An ideal meal in any regular Maharashtrian household would include Batata Bhaji ( Aloo ki Sabzi ), Pooris as accompaniments to the Aamrakhand. However it can be just enjoyed by itself as a dessert. Try it, it's sinfully delicious and beats any gelato hands down! Sonal Sardesai Gautam -

Mango & Cinnamon Smoothie Mango & Cinnamon Smoothie
Hiiii everyone, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I do hope the weather has turned into Spring for some of my blogger friends and friends around the world. 🙂Today’s post is not a Greek recipe but a recipe that I just love!! Smoothieeeee 🙂 I mentioned in a previous post that I was given some Mangos which I have already added into a salad and have made a few other recipes, 🙂 but one thing I have not made yet is a delicious Mango Smoothie. (My Absolute Favorite!!!) I found this recipe in REAL SIMPLE many many years ago and just loved it. The original recipe does not have any Cinnamon added into or on top of the Smoothie, but I had to tweak it. I have added a teaspoon of Cinnamon into the smoothie along with the honey, and I just topped it off with just a small pinch of Cinnamon. 🙂 (Just because I like it)I enjoy having a smoothie throughout the day, I am not really the kind of person who would make a smoothie to have for breakfast. I prefer having a nice breakfast in the morning with fruits, cereal. toasted bread, etc. and later in the day enjoy a great smoothie, 🙂 especially if we are having hot weather. 🙂 So, I hope you enjoy this smoothie recipe, let me know if you try it out. 🙂 Foodzesty
