DATES BISCUITS 🍪

Dates , a symbol of abundance and a rich source of fiber, potassium and calcium. Have been the staple food of Ramadan tables ever since it is advised to break fast with this fruit . Dates boost energy. Dates are must in my home . Dates biscuits are my favourite snack . Make these for your loved ones so the break their fast with nutritious biscuits 🍪

Ingredients

8 minutes
10 persons
  1. 1egg 🥚
  2. 1egg 🥚 yolk
  3. 1 tspbaking powder
  4. 1/2 tspvanilla powder
  5. 1/2 cupmelted butter
  6. 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
  7. 2 tbspdry milk powder
  8. 2 cupsflour
  9. For Filling
  10. 200 gmsdates
  11. 2 tbspmelted butter
  12. PinchCardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

8 minutes
  1. 1

    Beat Egg, egg yolk, butter & sugar till light in colour for 4 minutes.

    Seive flour and add in ;
    Vanilla powder
    Baking Powder
    Dry Milk powder

    Mix dry & wet ingredients.

    Knead with soft hands.

    Now make small balls of the dough like we make it for roti.

    Make circle with hands and place dates mixture.

    Tap it with hands to make it flat and mark lines with a fork.

    Knead dough. You can make any shape. Roll it nicely.

    Deseeded dates. Mix butter & cardamom powder & knead with soft hand to make nice paste.

    Cut desired lenght of biscuits.

    Apply nuts on biscuits. I have made few plain, few coated with nuts and desiccated coconut 🥥

    You can use cutter to make any shape

    Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees for 8 minutes
