Chop all fresh ingredients into small pieces (mince garlic)

Throw all except canned sauce into same pan, simmer for about 1 hour (uncovered for at least 1/2 to reduce the sauce)

Add canned sauce as needed for desired consistency

Bring back to a simmer. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
