Paneer masala is a very popular dish around india and here is my twist of it giving it that rich Dhaba flavour. It really goes well with Rumali Roti.

Ingredients

  1. 250 gmsPaneer
  2. 1finely chopped Onion
  3. 1finely chopped tomato
  4. 1" grated ginger
  5. 1 tspfinely chopped garlic
  6. 2 tbspcurd
  7. 1 spoonmalai
  8. 2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  9. 1 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1 tbspcoriander powder
  11. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  12. 1/4 tsppepper powder
  13. 1 tsproasted cumin + coriander powder
  14. 1 tbsproasted gram flour
  15. 1bay leaf
  16. 2cardamom
  17. 2-3cloves
  18. 1cinnamon stick
  19. 7-8pepper powder
  20. 1 tspkasuri methi
  21. 1 tbspoil
  22. 1 tbspbutter
  23. as per taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Firstly cut paneer and sprinkle some red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin+ coriander powder and pinch of salt on it and mix well and keep aside.

    Heat pan and add 1 tsp butter and add paneer and cook for 1 minutes and keep aside.

    Now heat another pan put oil and butter and add whole red chilli, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, pepper and stir it

    Now add chopped onion, green chilli and saute till golden in colour

  5. 5

    Now add finely chopped ginger,garlic and stir it

  6. 6

    Now add kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and roasted gram flour (Besan) and stir it.

    Now add chopped tomato and cook for a minute and add curd and cook on low flame for 1-2 minutes

    Now add kasturi methi, salt and add some water and cover the lid and let it cook for a minutes

    Now add paneer and mix well and cover the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes or till oil starts separating now add pepper powder and mix well

  10. 10

    Sprinkle chopped coriander.

    Dhaba Style Paneer Masala is ready
    Add malai and serve it.
