Wash and soak your rice for 3-4 hrs, wash and grind in a blender or take it to a grinding machine until smooth. Make sure the batter is thick(not too thick). Note: I usually soaked my rice overnight and take it to a grinding machine for better result.

After grinding, add your mashed rice, yeast and mix well. Close and put in a warm place and allow it to rise for about 1 hour.

After it rises, add sugar, salt, baking powder, grated onions, and water as required and mix well.

Heat your masa pan over medium heat add little oil, scoop the batter and pour in your pan. Fry by turning both sides until golden brown. This recipe is super yummy, soft and tasty. 😍😋

Masa is usually and popularly served with Yajin karago (made from groundnut cake,pepper with garlic seasoning, it is AKA yajin kuli-kuli) Spinach soup (a vegetable soup called miyan alayyahu), Stew, Egusi soup, Pepper soup and others. Enjoy..... 😋💋
