Chicken can be cooked in many ways, but if you buy chicken fillet, pan-searing it with golden-browned garlic is delicious, not too heavy, and not greasy.
Steps
- 1
Chicken breast fillet is usually lean with no skin or fat. Marinate with 1 teaspoon soy sauce, mint leaves, steak seasoning, and hot chili sauce. Slice each garlic clove in half lengthwise. Flip the chicken to coat evenly with the marinade.
- 2
Heat a skillet and add butter. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the chicken fillet. Sear both sides, being careful not to burn the meat, and reduce the heat. When both sides are golden, check with chopsticks or a fork—if the meat is tender and no longer pink, it's done. Serve with a slice of toasted sandwich bread spread with butter and roasted squash. It's a unique and healthy meal!
