Ingredients

  1. 1 & 3/4 cup wheat flour
  2. 1/4 cupcurd
  3. 1/2 cupmilk
  4. 1/2 tbspyeast
  5. 1/2 tspsalt
  6. 2 tbspsugar
  7. 1 tbspoil
  8. 1 tspginger, chopped
  9. 3 clovesgarlic
  10. 1 tspfennel seeds
  11. 1/4 cupcoriander leaves
  12. 1 tbspmint leaves
  13. 2green chillies, crushed
  14. As neededSesame seeds, for garnish
  15. As neededMilk, milk wash

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl mix together wheat flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

  2. 2

    Grind together ginger, garlic, coriander, green chillies and mint to a coarse paste. Do not add water.

  3. 3

    Add this mixture to the flour. Add fennel seeds and mix well. Add the oil, curd and milk. Mix together to form a soft dough. Knead for a good 10 minutes. Cover and keep in a greased bowl to rise for 1 hour.

    Divide into 6 tight balls of equal size. Apply some miln with the help of a brush. Sprinkle sesame seeds, cover and set aside for 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Preheat the oven at 200°C and bake for 15 - 20 minutes or till golden on top. Enjoy with cheese spread or chutney/ sauces of your choice.
