Steps

Wash & soak the channas overnight.Boil them in a cooker with 3 cup water.

Heat oil in a pan & add bay leaf,when it becomes black,add tomato puree with all the masalas.

Add tamarind juice & cook till oil spreads from corners. now put this masala in boiled channas & cook till all the water dissolves.

Serve hot with puri.
