Steps
- 1
Wash and peel shakkarkandi (sweet potato) cut it in small pieces and add it into a pressure cooker. Add water and let it cook till 3 whistles.
- 2
Take a pan and add ghee to it. Once heated add boiled and mashed shakkarkandi to it and cook it for 5-6 minutes until you feel that water has evaporated. Now add sugar to it and cook for another few minutes till you feel that sugar has disolved and the water is fully evaporated. The process will take time so keep stirring so the halwa won't stick to the bottom of the pan. Your shakkarkandi ka halwa is ready, garnish is with chopped dryfruits and enjoy in the cold winters.
