Ingredients

15 minutes.
6 servings
  • 1 cuplobia(black eyed bean)
  • 1/4 cupmasoor dal(red lentil)
  • 1/4 cupchana dal(split black gram)
  • 2 cupsfinely chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cupchopped coriander leaves
  • 4green chillies
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2'ginger piece
  • 6 clovesgarlic
  • 500 mloil for deep frying

Steps

15 minutes.
  1. 1

    Soak all lentils for 4-6hours.

  2. 2

    Wet grind the lentils with green chillies, ginger and garlic. Grind to a smooth paste. If required add a little water.

  3. 3

    Add spinach, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well. Add cumin seeds also.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a kadhai, when oil is at smoking point, lower the flame. Fry vadas at medium-high flame till golden.

  5. 5

    Take out and serve with chutney/sauce.
