Ingredients

  1. Prepare Kadhi:
  2. 2/3 cupBaisan (Gram flour)
  3. 1 cupYogurt
  4. 3-4 cupswater
  5. salt as per taste
  6. 1 tspturmeric powder
  7. 1 tspred chilli powder
  8. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  9. 1/2 tspzeera
  10. Prepare Pakoray:
  11. 1 cupBaisan
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. 2 pinchbaking soda
  14. 1/4 tspred chilli crushed
  15. 1meduim sliced onion
  16. 2-3Green chilli(chopped)
  17. 1 tspCoriander seeds(crushed)
  18. 1/2 cuplukewarm water
  19. Tadka:
  20. 1/4 CupOil
  21. 3 clovesLehsan (Garlic)
  22. 6-7Sabut lal mirch (Whole red chilies)
  23. 1 tspZeera (Cumin seeds)
  24. 8-10Curry pata (Curry leaves)

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare Kadhi:
    In a bowl add Baisan, yogurt salt, turmeric powdered, red chilli powder and mix it well

  2. 2

    In pot,add oil,curry leaves,cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste and mix well.

  3. 3

    Add gram flour yogurt mixture and mix well.
    Add water,mix well and bring it to boil,cover and cook on low medium flame (approx. 1 & ½ hours) and keep stirring in between.

  4. 4

    Prepare Pakoray:
    In a bowl, add gram flour,salt, baking soda, coriander seeds,red chilli powder, green chilies, onion,fresh coriander and mix well.
    Gradually add water and mix well to form a smooth batter.
    In wok,heat oil and fry pakoray until crispy and golden.

  5. 5

    Now add fried pakoray in kadhi,stir gently and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  6. 6

    For Tadka:
    In a frying pan, add oil, garlic, whole red chilies, and mix, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and fry it.

  7. 7

    Now add tadka on kadhi
