Wash and cook the rice in a saucepan/pressure cooker.

Place a boil rice in a bowl and mash it with a spoon. Add water and mix well.

Add curd,chopped coriander leaves,greated ginger and mix well.add lemon juice and mix well.

Heat a tadka pan add oil.add dried red chillies and saute till crisp. Add curry leaves,panchforan masala and asafoetida.

Add this tadka to rice mix well.

Pakhala bhata is ready to serve it.
