Steps

Wash and soak the urad dal in water for 7-8 hours or overnight.

Pour the soaked dal in a blender jar, add green chilli and ginger and blend to paste. (While adding water as needed).

Take out the dal paste in a bowl, add salt and baking soda as per taste and whisk it until the mixture becomes light for 3-4 minutes.

Meanwhile, keep the oil in a kadhai for heating, pour a tablespoon of the batter into the medium hot oil by hand and fry the till they become light golden.

Put all the fried vadas in medium hot water to soften, after 10 minutes press the vadas between your palms and squeeze out all the water and remove the vadas in the plate.

Now place the vadas first on a serving plate, pour the beaten curd over it, add green and sour sweet chutney, sprinkle red chili powder, garam masala powder and roasted cumin powder and garnish with pomegranate and coriander leaves.

Delicious dahi vada is ready.
