Boil 3 cups water in a pan add the black pepper and grated ginger
Add the suji and mix well. Cover and let it rest for 5 mins. Oil your hands and when the suji is still hot, make small balls Place the suji balls on a slotted thali and steam the balls for 20 mins. You can use an idli stand as well to steam. them - 2
FOR TEMPERING: Add oil on a Kadai. Add the rai, jeera, curry leaves,urad dal. Now add the Sambhar powder and kadampodi and mix. Add the suji balls and mix well
All the suji balls should be coated with the tempering. Serve warm. As such no chutney needed.
