黄焖鸡 Braised Chicken

Ingredients

  1. Chicken Wings and Legs
  2. ClovesGarlic
  3. Ginger
  4. Light Soy Sauce
  5. Dark Soy Sauce
  6. Chilli Sauce 豆瓣酱
  7. Green Bell Peppers
  8. Red Bell Peppers
  9. Mushroom (optional)
  10. Oil
  11. Cooking wine

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Chop potatoes to one inch slices. Strip bell peppers. Cut mushrooms. Slice ginger and garlic

  2. 2

    High heat. Heat oil. Place garlic and ginger.

  3. 3

    Put in chicken. Cook until surface is golden. No need to cook through.

    Add two rounds of light soy sauce and one round of dark soy sauce.

  5. 5

    Two large spoons of chilli sauce.

  6. 6

    Add cooking wine

  7. 7

    Add water to cover all the wings

  8. 8

    Add potatoes

  9. 9

    Fill water until potatoes are covered.

  10. 10

    Simmer for medium heat for 10 minutes

  11. 11

    Add bell peppers and mushrooms

  12. 12

    Simmer at medium low heat for 50 minutes
