Stewed Potatoes and Chicken Breast Stewed Potatoes and Chicken Breast
My mother taught me how to prepare one of our family's classic dishes, and I gave it a slight twist.Since they are stewed with the chicken breast, to prevent the meat from becoming dry, the potatoes should be sliced into 1-cm rounds to allow them to be cooked through quickly. Simple Chicken Simmered in Soy Sauce Simple Chicken Simmered in Soy Sauce
This is something I often ate that was made by my mother. When she taught me the recipe I found that it was simple and was just a matter of putting everything into a pot and stewing.Make sure to use crystal rock sugar (this recipe won't work well with other types of sugar).1 cup of sugar might make the dish a bit too sweet, since the flavour should be subtle. I use about 3/4 cup but you can adjust the amount to your preference.I recommend making the dishes described in the recipe in this order:Chicken -> daikon radish and thick fried tofu -> taro roots and konnyaku. For 4 servings. Recipe by Meso cookpad.japan -
Tea & Soy Sauce Braised Chicken Tea & Soy Sauce Braised Chicken
This Tea & Soy Sauce Braised Chicken is a great dish for a weeknight meal or casual dinner party with its budget- and palate-friendly but subtly complex flavor profile; a short, easily subbed and somewhat fused ingredient list; and a beautiful presentation with little fuss. This recipe goes from stovetop to oven, so you'll need either a large ovensafe pot or pan to go directly into the oven from the stove, or a pot/pan in which to sear and braise the chicken, and an oven safe dish in which to broil the skin. You could go without the broiling step, and the dish will still be delicious, but you'll miss out on that beautifully crisped and slightly charred chicken skin that I love so well (too much, maybe). x -
Braised Sweet Potato & Chicken with Butter and Miso Braised Sweet Potato & Chicken with Butter and Miso
I wanted to make a tasty sweet potato dish with a hint of butter.-Cooking times differ according to your microwave at home and the size of the sweet potatoes. Adjust if necessary.-If you don't use a non-stick pan use a little oil for cooking the chicken. If it is a non-stick one, the chicken fat is enough to cook with.
