Ingredients

  • 1 cupSoaked moong dal
  • 1 tablespoonbesan
  • 1 tablespoonsooji
  • 1 cupghee
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/4 teaspooncardamom powder
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 2 cupswater
  • 1/2 cupChopped dry fruits

    Soak duli moong dal in warm water for an hour. Drain and grind it in a smooth paste.

    Put a pan on medium-hot flame add 1 cup ghee. Let ghee melt add besan and stir for 1 minute. Then add suji and stir for 1 minute. Then add moong dal paste and cook for 20-25 minutes till the aroma of moong dal disappears. In another pan add 1 cup milk +2 cups water +1 cup sugar +1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder and make a sugar syrup.

    Meanwhile, the moong dal has got separated. They have a granular consistency now. The aroma and 3 the colour has also changed and the fat has separated. Now pour the hot mixture of sugar syrup to the fried moong dal. Stir well the liquid should get absorbed add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder +chopped dry..mix well garnish with some pistachios and almond flakes. Serve hot
