Ingredients

  1. 4potatoes, wedges
  2. 1.5 tspsalt
  3. 4 tbspcorn flour
  4. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  5. as requiredoil for deep frying
  6. For Honey Chilli-
  7. 4 tspoil
  8. 1.5 inchginger, finely chopped
  9. 2-3 Clovesgarlic, finely chopped
  10. 3-4green chilli, slit
  11. 1/2 cupspring onion, chopped
  12. 1capsicum, cubed
  13. 2 tspchilli sauce
  14. 3-4 tbsptomato sauce
  15. 3 tbspsoy sauce
  16. 1.5 tbspvinegar
  17. 1/2 tspsalt
  18. 1.5 tbspcorn flour
  19. 1/2 cupwater
  20. 3-4 tbsphoney
  21. 1.5 tspsesame / til, roasted

Cooking Instructions

    Wash, Peel and cut the potatoes in wedges.

    Heat 2-3 cups of water in a pan and add potato wedges to it with salt.

    Bring it to boil and let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

    Take out from water and add black pepper and corn flour to it and coat all the potatoes with flour.

    Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry potatoes until crisp and golden in colour.

    Drain on an absorbent paper and Keep aside

    In a large wok, heat oil and saute garlic, ginger, green chilli and 2 spring onions.

    Add onions and capsicum, saute on high flame.

  9. 9

    Next add chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce, white vinegar and salt.

    Saute this on high flame for half minute.

    Now mix 1 tbsp corn flour in ¼ cup water without any lumps in a bowl.

    Pour the corn flour mixture gradually in it and stir continuously till it turns translucent.

    Switch off the heat and add 2 tbsp honey and mix well.

    At last add fried potatoes and mix gently.

    Garnish with spring onions and 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds. mix well.

    Honey chilli potatoes are ready to serve hot with fried rice as complete meal or as it as snack.
