Pilau is a delicious meal which is originated from the coastal people. It's normally common during weeding ceremonies. It's believed that if pilau is not cooked on your weeding day, then there was no wedding😊. It's cooked in any major ceremony at the coastal. It's loved both by the old and the young.

Steps

  1. 1

  2. 2

Grind the pilau masala{ cloves 50g, cardamom 50g, cinnamon 50g and cummin

  3. 3

Cut the onions and set aside

  4. 4

Fry the onions until they start to turn brown, add the pilau masala, stir continously and add maggi cubes, fry as you stir until everything is incorporated. Add the beef and stir to mix well.

  5. 5

Add the beef stock {water} And always remember the ratio is 1;2, meaning 1 cup of rice, you'll need 2 cups of water. As the water starts to boil add the salt and finally the rice. Cover and let it cook. Remember, no soy sauce is required nor tomato paste for that matter.

  6. 6

As the water reduces, reduce the heat to avoid burning and sticking.
