Rose ice cream

As a family we have always liked the Gulabo flavoured Nirula’s ice cream. I have always wondered whether it could be possible to re-create that flavour at home. Then found that it is incredibly simple!

As a family we have always liked the Gulabo flavoured Nirula’s ice cream. I have always wondered whether it could be possible to re-create that flavour at home. Then found that it is incredibly simple!
Steps
- 1
Chill the bowl in which you plan to whip the cream. Pour cream into the chilled bowl & whip till it forms soft peaks. If you are using an electric beater, this should take 2-3 minutes.
- 2
Fold in the condensed milk, Roohafza and vanilla.
- 3
If desired you may also add a few drops of food safe rose water (optional). Pour this mix into a freezer safe container. Spread a few dried rose petals & some chopped pistachios over the ice cream mix. Freeze for 5-6 hours or set, ideally overnight. Serve drizzled with Roohafza & more rose petals & chopped pistachios.
